PAOLA MENDOZA
Paola Mendoza is a Colombian actress based in New York City. She has appeared in numerous television shows and films including “Law & Order”, “Entre Nos” and “Sangre de Mi Sangre,” which won the Sundance Grand Jury Prize and was nominated for two Independent Spirit Awards. Mendoza, also a director, was named one of Filmmaker Magazine 25 New Faces of Independent Film. She most recently helmed “La Toma” a documentary commissioned by the Nelson Mandela Foundation and Tribeca Film Institute. She made her narrative directorial debut with “Entre Nos,” which she also co-wrote. The script of “Entre Nos” was an official selection at Tribeca All Access and the IFP’s Independent Film Week where it won the Grand Jury Prize. Mendoza is currently writing her first novel entitled, “Los Que se Quedan,” which will be published by Penguin Books in September 2012.
